Aoi Okuyama is a rising Japanese actress born in Hokkaido on February 23, 1999. While her dream of becoming a wizard didn’t pan out, she found her calling in acting and honed her skills at the United Performers’ Studio in Tokyo. Okuyama gained international recognition for her role as Taki in the critically acclaimed BBC/Netflix series “Giri/Haji” (Duty/Shame). Taki is the complex daughter caught between her father, a disgraced detective, and her charming but troubled uncle.
