The duo released several successful albums, including “Sittin’ In” and “Mother Lode,” before disbanding in 1976.

Following the split, Loggins embarked on a solo career and achieved great success in the 1980s with a string of hit singles. His breakthrough came with the theme song for the film “Footloose” (1984), which topped the charts and won a Grammy Award. He also had other notable hits like “Danger Zone” from the movie “Top Gun” (1986) and “I’m Alright” from the film “Caddyshack” (1980).
