Rapman, whose real name is Andrew Onwubolu, is a multi-talented British artist born in 1989. He’s known for wearing many hats: rapper, record producer, screenwriter, and film director. Rapman music is characterized by socially conscious themes, tackling real-life struggles. But it’s his innovative storytelling through rap that truly sets him apart. This talent translated to the screen with his directorial debut, “Blue Story,” in 2019 “Blue Story” was an adaptation of his own YouTube series of the same name. The film’s success solidified Rapman as a rising star in British filmmaking. Rapman’s gone on to work on projects like “American Son” and the Netflix series “Supacell.” Rapman’s dedication to his craft was recognized in 2022 when he was appointed MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for his contributions to drama and music.
