Sam Worthington is an Australian actor and writer, born on August 2, 1976, in Surrey, England . He gained recognition for his role in the Australian drama “Somersault” (2004), winning the AFI award for Best Male Actor Worthington’s international breakthrough came with his roles as Jake Sully in James Cameron’s “Avatar” (2009) and as Marcus Wright in “Terminator Salvation” (2009) His career includes starring in high-profile films such as “Clash of the Titans” (2010), “Man on a Ledge” (2012), “Everest” (2015), “Hacksaw Ridge” (2016), “The Shack” (2017), and “Fractured” (2019)  He also appeared in the sequel to “Avatar” and played Captain Alex Mason in the video game “Call of Duty: Black Ops”
