Sonika Vaid is an American pop singer born on August 4, 1995. Though initially shy about performing, she eventually overcame her stage fright and impressed audiences with her voice.

Vaid grew up in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. Despite opportunities to sing publicly, she preferred playing piano anonymously. This all changed when she auditioned for American Idol with Carrie Underwood’s “Look at Me,” receiving high praise from the judges.

Since then, Vaid has pursued a singing career. She collaborated with singer-songwriter Will Jay on the song “Smoke From Distant Fires” and even surprised Harry Connick Jr. on his show.
