Khali Spraggins is a young American actress on the rise. Born in Chicago in 2005, she knew from a young age that she wanted to act. She started with community theater and student films, even winning a scholarship to Second City Chicago. Her big break came in 2016 when she signed with a talent agency and landed on-camera training. This led to her booking commercials and starring in a YouTube mini-series. Her talent impressed casting agents and she landed the role of a young Cookie Lyon (played by Taraji P. Henson) in the hit show Empire. Spraggins’ biggest role to date is Aaliyah, the middle child, in the Netflix sitcom The Upshaws. Alongside actors like Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps, she portrays a smart and sassy teenager eager to grow up. Beyond acting, Spraggins aspires to create her own content with positive messages someday.
